Let’s be honest here. How many of you were excited for Yarn Yoshi when it was first announced by Nintendo at last year’s E3?
I’m talking about genuinely excited, like, “almost as much as Zelda U” excited. Nobody?
Well, after Nintendo’s latest E3 unveiling of the fully-realized Yoshi’s Woolly World, I can say, crazily enough, that I am indeed that excited for the first-ever woven dino subgenre platformer.
Executive producer Takashi Tezuka went through the notion of sewing his own Woolen Yoshi to totally “get” his project once it was assigned to him. That in itself is pretty kick-ass. Pair it with a charming trailer full of fun little idiosyncrasies and you have a delicious Nintendo-flavored morsel to be licked up by the whole family when it’s released in 2015!
