In what was potentially Microsoft’s most hilarious moment during E3 this year, Sunset Overdrive was finally unveiled in its complete and unequivocally gory yet comedic glory.
In the teaser trailer for the game, the protagonist informs you that YOU are the only one that can ultimately defeat the demons that have taken over the town.
Can YOU do what it takes to take on the challenge!?
“Well of course you can,” he says, “it’s a f***ing video game!”
Good answer! Sunset Overdrive seems to be all sorts of insanely fast-paced, arcade-style action all suited up for the 21st century. I’m definitely looking forward to this title, with a release date of October 24th. It’ll be intriguing to see how sales for it go when stacked against AAA titles like Shadows of Mordor being released the same month.
