After Katy Perry was spotted with a massive rock on THAT finger following a Valentine’s Day date with boyfriend John Mayer, of course speculation began whether or not the singer had popped the question to Miss Perry.
Sources are now telling US Weekly that despite the ring and rumors, the couple is NOT engaged.
Katy had everyone fooled as they exited Sunset Tower Hotel is LA on V Day, and it was very visible that she had a brand new piece of bling on her ring finger.
However, this is not the first time the couple has battled engagement rumors.
Back in November of last year, Katy caused a stir when she was spotted with a ring on her finger while attending the MTV Europe Music Awards, but that was also quickly shot down.
“It’s not true. They are not engaged,” a source close to the couple says.
“It was a romantic Valentine’s Day dinner for the two of them in a private spot but there was no proposal…the dinner was sweet but low-key.”
And…there you go?
