There is no doubt that Jimi Hendrix is one of the greatest guitarists to ever live, and probably one of the most legendary musicians the world of music has ever seen. The man was one of the leading figures in the music of the 1960s, and thus helped create one of the most definitive eras of music ever. Therefore, it is incredibly exciting news that some of his early recordings will be released.
Between the years 1965 and 1967, a young Jimi Hendrix was playing with Curtis Knight and the Squires, and made over seven dozen recordings that, up until now, have remained unheard by the general public. Those recordings will now be available to fans, and will be released over the next three years.
The person in charge of these releases is Eddie Kramer, a South African producer who worked with Hendrix on some of his original albums back in the late 1960s. There is no one better to make sure Hendrix gets the proper treatment he deserves than a man who actually worked with the man four decades ago.
