Ebola incidents are becoming more and more prevalent, with a lot of people being afraid of the infection and taking extreme measures to avoid getting close to it, let alone get infected. Recently, a lot of workers at an airport walked off their jobs and started protesting, concerned about being safe from the disease.
Last Thursday, a surprising number of 200 workers at the Laguardia airport left their jobs due to fear of Ebola. Those employees were responsible for cleaning aircrafts, which is a dangerous thing to do with the disease around, if you think about it. All of the workers walked off, stating that airports fail to keep them safe from infections like this. A lot are on strike and protesting about their working conditions and their lack of protection provided by the airport against Ebola.
Recently, the deadly virus claimed its first victim in the United States. Unfortunately, the first ever patient diagnosed with Ebola Stateside was found death in the hospital. A lot of other incidents are worrying the public, with efforts being made to keep everyone safe.
Scary times indeed!
