Ed Sheeran Debuts New Song “New York” At Madison Square Garden

Multiple artists including Frank Sinatra, Billy Joel and Jay-Z have paid homage to this fantastic city with a song.

Ed Sheeran is the latest artist to join the ranks.

On November 1, the “Lego House” singer-songwriter debuted his track, “New York,” in front of a sold out Madison Square Garden audience.

Sheeran wore a dark gray “I heart NY t-shirt while performing the acoustic track.  The crowd was very silent throughout the performance but erupted after Sheeran finished the song,

“I am sure that this song will be on YouTube tomorrow,” Sheeran predicted.  “So if you want to re-listen to it again, it will be fine!”

In addition to debuting his new track, MTV reports that Sheeran’s former tour partner, Taylor Swift, made a guest appearance and performed “Everything Has Changed.”

Sheeran’s final concert in New York City will mark the final concert of his + World Tour.

Digital Spy reports that “The A-Team” singer will release his new album sometime in 2014.
