This generation’s most lovable singer-songwriter, Ed Sheeran has teamed up with one of the most iconic characters of all time, Kermit the Frog, to belt out a tune in behalf of a good cause.
I mean what could be more adorable than that?
The performance was part of NBC’s inaugural version of “Red Nose Day”. Originally a highlight fundraising event for British charity Comic Relief. It has been a traditional telethon in the United Kingdom where celebrities and comedians participate in various stunts and performances to raise funds for good causes.
Kermit and Ed were one of the best things to come out of NBC’s version which aired on Thursday. The duo sang ” Rainbow Connection”, with a little bit of banter thrown in between. At the end of the song Kermit even proposed a Green Nose day!
Ed also said that Kermit won’t be allowed back in the swamp unless he raised a lot of greens. Thankfully though at the end of the event, they and everyone else involved were able to raise $21 million!
