Banshee’s fourth season has ascended to a whole new level of badassery with the addition of former slayer and active Eliza Dushku. Dushku will be playing Agent Veronica Dawson, a rash FBI profiler who teams up with Lucas Hood (Antony Starr) in order to take down a serial killer while facing her own inner demons.
Dushku is best known for her portrayal of resident bad-girl turned slayer, Faith Lehane, from Joss Whedon’s Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Her other roles also include Bring it On and the amazing gone-too-soon television series Tru Calling and Dollhouse.
I, for one, am ecstatic for Dushku’s role in Banshee. Ever since the unfortunate cancellation of Dollhouse, I’ve been looking forward to Dushku’s long awaited return to television. My fingers are crossed for Veronica’s longevity in Banshee (yes, I know that’s biased, but Dushku is just so dang talented it’d be a shame to see her go!)
