Who Was Asked To Host Oscars Before Neil Patrick Harris? Nearly Everyone!

Well, if this isn’t the biggest confidence boost… HA!

While Neil Patrick Harris is probably on cloud nine after being picked to host the 2015 Oscars, it appears he wasn’t the first pick.

Or the second. Or third… or fourth.

It’s been revealed that the head honchos wanted to once again go with last years host Ellen DeGeneres, however the talk show host was said to be completely against returning.

Following that, they turned to comedian Chris Rock (who hosted in 2005) to emcee the show, who also turned it down, before finally offering it to Veep Emmy award winner Julia Louis-Dreyfus…who ALSO said no!!

That is when they turned their eye on the former How I Met Your Mother star!!
