That awkward moment when you realise the James Franco underage girl drama was NOT a publicity stunt.
If you missed the story, here’s the short version, Franco met a fan, she happened to be half his age, that didn’t bother him, he flirted, she took screenshots, they were leaked, and so we’ve come full circle.
We wanted to give Franco the benefit of the doubt thinking it may be a publicity stunt for his new movie Palo Alto but after his interview on Live! With Kelly and Michael, it’s apparent that it was not a publicity stunt, only a pretty dumb stunt by the actor.
On the show he had this to say, “I’m embarrassed and I guess I’m just a model of how social media is tricky… It’s a way people meet each other today, but what I’ve learned is you don’t know who’s on the other end. I used bad judgement and I learned my lesson.”
It may be borderline creepy to some, but there are many Hollywood relationships where age differences are questionable, Franco may just have gone about all this the wrong way – the social media way!
It seems Franco may have had a little crush on the young lady, and to him age is obviously only a number!
