Game of Thrones‘ Emilia Clarke and The Equalizer‘s Martin Csokas have signed on to star in a new upcoming supernatural thriller, Voice From The Stone.
The film is based on the Italian novel La Voce Della Pietra written by Silvio Raffo.
It will follow the story of a nurse named Verena who has been tasked to take care of a young boy named Jakob, who lost his mother to tragic circumstance a year before. Jakob, who is always silent, is later found to be afraid of speaking because of a presence that haunts the halls of the stone villa in Tuscany, where he and his father live.
Emilia Clarke will be taking on the role of Verena, while Martin Czokas will be portraying Jakob’s father.
The story is being adapted to screen by Andrew Shaw. The film will be directed by Eric D Howell and will begin shooting on location in Italy this month.
