When casting a body double, it can seem like an impossible mission to find the perfect person. The Game of Thrones team however have struck gold with Rosie Mac, the stand in for Emilia Clarke’s character Daenerys Targaryen.

Mac became the double for Season 5, and she quickly sparked interest on the internet for her behind the scenes Instagram pictures as Daenerys.

Not only is she Clarke’s body double, apparently the producers were so impressed with Mac’s performance they may be writing her into the show as her own character, but HBO are yet to comment on the accuracy on those rumours.

Mac spent the first ten years of her life in Cornwall, before relocating to Marbella, Spain. Before Game of Thrones Mac has featured in music videos, including MIKA’s ‘Boum Boum Boum’, and was a part of Virginia Macari’s debut bikini line.

Personally, I am excited to see what Mac has in store for us, because a role on a show as popular as Game of Thrones is likely to open many doors for the young star, and certainly fills me with Cornish pride!
