The rumors are flying, but that’s about all they’re doing. Stars Emma Stone (The Amazing Spiderman) and Jonah Hill were reportedly offered roles as Anna (Stone) and Jeremy (Hill). Nothing has been confirmed.
No other details regarding the actors or their supposed characters have been released, according to SchmoesKnows.
Dan Aykroyd revealed earlier this year that Ghostbusters 3 could begin its filming process as early as 2014.
“I know that we’re expecting half of the screenplay to be completed very soon,” he tells listeners. “It should be into production by the fall and be shooting by the New Year.”
Aykroyd is no stranger to the Ghostbusters franchise, having starred in both of the previous films. He played one of the parapsychologists who investigated paranormal sightings and captured ghosts in New York City.
Emma Stone is currently working on her next film, The Amazing Spiderman 2. Jonah Hill can be seen in his new film, The Wolf on Wall Street.
