Emma Stone Reveals She Turned Down Role In Ghostbusters Remake

Is Emma Stone afraid of ghosts? Actress reveals that she was offered a role in the upcoming Ghostbusters remake by Paul Feig, but turned it down.

Who ya gonna call?

Not Emma Stone!!

In a new interview, actress Emma Stone revealed that she was offered a role in Paul Feig’s upcoming Ghostbusters remake , but ultimately made the decision to turn it down.

Speaking of her choice, Emma said:

“The script was really funny … It just didn’t feel like the right time for me. A franchise is a big commitment — it’s a whole thing. I think maybe I need a minute before I dive back into that water.”

While we can ALL agree that Stone would have been hilarious in the film (because when is she not?!), it’s already stacked with some of our favorite funny ladies.

Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon, Leslie Jones and Kristen Wiig are rounding out the team, while Chris Hemsworth has been locked in to play the ladies’ receptionist.

In the early days of the reveal of the upcoming film, Emma’s name was thrown around before it was locked down who would be fighting them ghosts.

Let’s just hope Emma returns to grace our screens soon in a hilarious role reminiscent of what she delivered in Easy A

EVERYBODY loves that movie right?

Would you guys have liked to have seen Emma in Ghostbusters or are you happy with the current cast?

The film opens July 22nd 2016.
