After what seems to be a ‘tale as long as time,’ former Harry Potter actress Emma Watson is set to play yet another book-loving character: Belle from the Disney classic, Beauty and the Beast.
When the news broke, Watson shared her excitement with her fans on Facebook saying,
Originally, Watson was going to portray the princess back in 2011. Guillemo del Toro was the director at the time with Warner Bros. as the distributor. Four years later, Watson will finally get her chance to become the Disney princess, but under a different studio and a different filmmaker, Bill Condon, who directed The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn. In addition, the director will be following a script written by Stephen Chbosky, who directed Watson in The Perks of Being a Wallfloweraccording to The Wrap.
For the British star, dreams most certainly do come true.
