An image has been released of a still from Emma Watson in her new movie, Colonia. In it we see Mikael Nyqvist, who plays a cult leader, squishing Emma Watson’s face in a confrontational manner.
Colonia tells the story of young German couple, Lena and Daniel, played by Emma Watson and Daniel Bruhl, who are caught up in the 1973 Chilean military coup. The coup overthrows President-elect Salvador Allende and sweeps Augusto Pinochet to power.
Daniel is kidnapped by Pinochet’s secret police and is taken to a place called Colonia Dignidad, which is controlled by a ruthless cult-leader. Lena tracks him down and joins the cult to save her husband.
The film is based on a real life event of a couple who ended up in the middle of the 1973 coup.
Colonia is set for an October 2015 release.
