Justin Bieber has recently posted a video online of himself ‘air-guitaring’ his take on “Fade to Black” by American heavy-metal band, Metallica.

The teen-heartthrob praised the successful group by saying that they were one of his favourite bands, also adding, “I like Metallica’s ‘Fade to Black’ and One’. It’s edgy and emotional with those instruments and electric guitars and stuff.”

In a recent interview with Q Magazine, Metallica responded to the flattering comments from the ’ Beauty and the Beat’ hit-maker. The band’s drummer Lars Urich said, “Is it possible to have respect for him without being a Belieber? I think the kid’s really talented and obviously to go through what he’s going through at that early age must be a mindf**k. “

He continued, “So the fact that he still goes out there and does it, I admire that and I think he’s super talented, so I guess I am kind of a Belieber. If he likes ‘One’, and Liam Gallagher likes him, OK, there you go.”

Shortly after, lead singer James Hetfield contributed to the compliments by saying, “Are we Beliebers? Yes.” Isn’t it great to see some mutual respect between two very different artists?
