Entourage fans everywhere were praising the movie gods when creator Doug Ellin announced last month that it was official. The infamous best friends E, Turtle, Drama, and Vinny would be hitting the big screen.
“It’s a go. Love you all,” he tweeted on October 28th, along with a photo of himself and the cast.
Rumors about a movie have been circling ever since the eighth and final season of the popular HBO series ended in 2011. Production, however, couldn’t begin until contracts were settled.
With an agreement finally in place, details are slowly trickling through on what fans can expect to see.
Jerry Ferrara, who plays Turtle, told The Austin Chronicle that the movie will pay homage to the earlier years of the group’s friendship.
“It’s very much in that season 1 and season 2 vein of what the show was, [when it was just] these four guys who are just living under these extreme and extraordinary circumstances and looking out for one another. So we’ll call it like the “throwback Thursday” of Entourage,” he said.
If that doesn’t get you excited enough, the cast got together last Friday to celebrate the continuation of the Entourage legacy.
Actor Jeremy Piven—better known to fans as Ari—posted a photo to Instagram of himself and his costars Kevin Connolly, Adrian Grenier, Emmanuelle Chriqui, and Jerry Ferrara hanging out at a Los Angeles restaurant with Ellin.
Reunited and it feels so good!
Kevin Dillon, also known as Johnny Drama, was noticeably absent.
Chriqui assured everyone that he simply couldn’t make it that night. So don’t worry, he’s still included!
As if they could make a movie without Drama anyway (pun intended).

Filming is expected to begin in January 2014.
