Irish singer Enya’s single, “Only Time” has hit the Top 100 Hot List at No. 43, thirteen years after its release in November 2000, after a video the song was used in went viral.
Enya owes the recent popularity of her song to YouTube streams being included in Top 100, Volvo and the impressively flexible legs of Jean Claude Van Damme.
The video, meant to “demonstrate the stability and precision of Volvo Dynamic Steering”, features Belgian martial artist and actor Jean Claude Van Damme performing what he calls “the most epic of splits” between two reversing trucks.
Since its publication on November 13 the video has garnered well over 55 million views. As The Sunday Times puts it into perspective, when the video rested at 50 million views, it had gathered roughly three times what Psy’s “Gangnam Style” did in the same time frame.
