Any parent will tell you the safety of their child is paramount. It is the one thing they will never skimp on because children are a miracle. At least, that’s what several parents were thinking when they bought carseats from Evenflo.
Evenflo is well-known for their Platinum Protection Series carseats and infant play sets. They strive to make a child’s life as fun and as safe as possible. They even advertise their Platinum Protection Series as giving “a more peaceful ride,” with a smiling baby pictured.
But even the best carseats have their drawbacks. Evenflo was recently forced to recall 1.4 million convertible carseats and harnessed booster seats in the U.S.. The company apologized for the recall, but the safety of the children outweighs their product sales. The recalled carseat buckles had a tendency to get stuck, making it difficult to extract a child from their seat.
Evenflo released an instructional video on how to replace the defective buckles with new ones, if they did not want to return the product. The recall covers approximately two dozen different models of carseats.
