Former ‘Power Rangers’ Star Ricardo Medina Jr. Charged With Murder

Former ‘Power Rangers’ star, Ricardo Medina Jr. has been charged with the murder of his roommate.

Former Power Rangers star, Ricardo Medina Jr. was arrested and charged with murder this Thursday for allegedly stabbing his roommate, Josh Sutter with a sword last year.

The actor was initially released last February 1st 2015 , shortly after his arrest for the alleged crime.

According to TMZ, Law enforcement sources have said that Josh Sutter was annoyed that Medina’s girlfriend often stayed in their house at Green Valley, California when Medina was not present. The two men argued over the situation on January 31st 2015, and it escalated to a physical brawl.

Medina said he and his girlfriend then retreated into his bedroom but Sutter was able to force his way in. This resulted in Medina stabbing him with a replica medieval sword.

Medina then called for 911 and waited for the cops to arrive. He was arrested and taken to custody in Palmdale, California, while Sutter was taken to the hospital and then pronounced dead.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office chose not to charge with Medina, who pleaded self-defense. Instead,  the D.A. asked the L.A. Sheriff’s Department to conduct an investigation and the actor was released. N

ow it seems that the District Attorney’s Office has found enough evidence to prosecute. Bail has been set at $1 million and the actor is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.

Ricardo Medina Jr. is known for playing two roles in the Power Rangers franchise, both as a hero and a villain. At first he played Red Wild Force Ranger , Cole Evans in Power Rangers Wild Force. He then took a 360 degree turn when he portrayed the villain, Deker in Power Rangers Samurai.
