Exclusive: Victoria Celestine Premieres “As We Grow Old” With Popwrapped

Singer-songwriter Victoria Celestine premieres her new track “As We Grow Old” exclusively with Popwrapped!

Despite not yet even being out of her teens, half French, half Texan singer-songwriter Victoria Celestine has already won over fans on both sides of the Atlantic thanks to her singles “Good Heart To Hide,” “Wasted Tears” and “Something More.”

Now, she’s back and we here at Popwrapped are delighted to premiere her latest track “As We Grow Old.”

As for the song itself, there’s a retro undertone to it that offers up similarities to the likes of Swedish artist Robyn, while the rhythm just calls (okay, it begs) for those who listen to it to get up out of their seats and dance, and it’s certainly hard to resist tapping your feet along to. The lyrics are simple and understated, much like Celestine herself, and the focus of the song is, as it rightly should be, on her impressive vocal range.

Of the track, Celestine says:

As We Grow Old’ is about being seventeen and trying to figure out all the different expectations people had for me at the time. And feeling pinned down to having to try to be a certain “image”… But also living life and feeling the hope and happiness of becoming wiser and growing older.

Have a listen to the track below then get in touch with Victoria via Facebook and Twitter, or check out her website.
