It is the era of the superheroes, folks!

Following installments from Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, and The Avengers team, it seems that we will be seeing the Fantastic Four on our screens again.

Kick-Ass creator, Mark Millar, who is acting as creative consultant on the reboot, is saying that the Fantastic Four team will be set in the same universe as the X-Men movies. This means that we will potentially be seeing some overlap of characters from both franchises.

Millar told SFX: “I think the most exciting thing in superhero movies, until The Avengers came along, was when Nick Fury showed up in Iron Man. Even though it was a guy with an eye patch it was really cool – and I expect we will see more of that.”

Millar’s ingredient for a great movie? A brilliant director! About the choice for director, Millar said, “Tim Story was seen as an odd choice for Fantastic Four, but when you have a Josh Trank you know you are in safe hands.”

Trank’s directorial credits include the sleeper superhero found footage hit, Chronicle.

Could we be seeing Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine moving into another Marvel franchise? Or perhaps Professor X would make an appearance?

The Fantastic Four is set for release in 2015.
