Thankfully, the record is on the way and after the release of the lead single, “BO$$”, the ladies have now put out the second one, “Sledgehammer”.
If you thought the record would follow the urban direction of “BO$$”, you were probably wrong. “Sledgehammer” is here to prove otherwise, serving as an upbeat pop anthem like the ones they first delivered. The ladies of Fifth Harmony are belting their way through the tune, on top of an electronic production driven by hard-hitting bass and wild synths. They really do sound fantastic as always, delivering great vocal performances. The harmonies are of course another thing not to miss, as they sing about hearts “beating like a sledgehammer”.
The Megan Trainor-penned cut finds Fifth Harmony spreading the love in the biggest of ways. Ultimately, “Sledgehammer” is a lovesong – a celebration and declaration of love with a very cheerful kind of sound. If anything, it definitely creates more buzz around the band’s forthcoming, debut studio album, Reflection. The record is expected to drop on December 16,and for the time being, you can give the tune a listen below.
