Let’s face it, Fifty Shades Darker (just like its predecessor) is not exactly a cinematic masterpiece. Well, at least according to the critics. In the review aggregate website Rotten Tomatoes, the movie got a 9% fresh rating, which is even way lower than the 25% rating the first one got!

With this in mind, the good people at the YouTube channel Screencrush thought it might be a good idea to remix the trailer of the Fifty Shades Darker and put in some of those scathing reviews.

And it’s the best thing we’ve seen all month.

The video opens up with a sarcastic header and a voice over saying, “Critics are raving about Fifty Shades Darker!” Then, without missing a beat, it proceeds to pile in one bad review after another (and “bad” is an understatement). One of our favorites is: “It resembles an un-asked for collaboration between Hallmark and Playboy Channels” from an excerpt by Alonso Duralde of The Wrap. And then there is this gem courtesy of Stephan Witty of The Newark Star-Ledger: “For a movie that’s supposed to be about BDSM, Fifty Shades Darker is more … ROFL.”

But to be fair, though, the movie is a box office juggernaut thanks to girlfriends and wives (as well as some men) everywhere dragging their significant others to the cinemas with them. Fifty Shades Darker opened with an outstanding haul of $46.6 million over its weekend debut in domestic grosses. Worldwide, the film even made an even more impressive $144 million, which is already way beyond its production budget of $55 million. (Seriously, where did they spend that much? This movie does not even require clothes.)

It also got a big boost on Valentine’s Day, raking in $10.9 million in domestic grosses on that single day alone. It just proves that critics are no match for Jamie Dornan’s golden torso and god-like abs!
