Another day, another Fifty Shades of Grey cast announcement. This time we bring you the news that Marcia Gay Harden will be taking up the role of Christian’s adoptive mother, Dr. Grace Trevelyan.
Harden who stars in the Aaron Sorkin political drama series The Newsroom and the ABC sitcom Trophy Wife has also recently wrapped filming on the Woody Allen film Magic in the Moonlight.
The Fifty Shades movie is based on a trilogy of erotic novels by E.L. James and follows the story of title character, 27 year old billionaire Christian Grey and his relationship with recent college graduate Anastasia Steele and their journey into the world of BDSM.
Already signed on to star in the film are Jamie Dornan, Dakota Johnson, Luke Grimes, Rita Ora, Eloise Mumford, Victor Rasuk, Jennifer Ehle and Max Martini.
Filming has begun in Vancouver with the film to be released over the Valentine’s Day weekend, 2015.
