Shueisha’s V Jump magazine’s August issue has unveiled exciting plot details about the highly anticipated Dragon Ball series which is set to air July 5th. Anime News Network states further details will be revealed this coming Saturday.
For the time being, the only details that are clear is that Dragon Ball Super takes place after the Majin Buu Saga and will tie in characters and storylines from Dragon Ball Z: Battle of the Gods and the recently released Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection ‘F’. Beerus and Whis, characters introduced in Battle of the Gods, will be series regulars in Dragon Ball Super officially joining team Goku and friends.
V Jump magazine also provided a brief synopsis of Super‘s first episode:
“After defeating Majin Buu, life is peaceful once again. Ordered by Chi-chi to earn money, Goku works even as he wants to train even more. Meanwhile, Goten, about to become a brother-in-law to Videl, sets out on a journey with Trunks to find her a present.”
The premiere of Dragon Ball Super is inching closer and closer, and I simply cannot wait any longer! It is the first series to be added to the Dragon Ball franchise since Dragon Ball GT, which went on from 1996 to 1997.
