Jason Segel and Jesse Eisenberg are currently filming The End of Tour, a biopic based on American Author David Lipsky’s book Although of Course You End Up Becoming Yourself: A Road Trip With David Foster Wallace. The film follows a tour Wallace took during the height of his career.
How I Met Your Mother star Jason Segel, was seen in full David Foster Wallace costume alongside, Jesse Eisenberg (who was dressed as Lipsky), at The Mall of America in Bloomington, Minnesota.
Wallace was a well known author and teacher. His first novel, The Broom of the System, garnered him national attention and critical praise. He only finished one other novel, Infinite Jest, but became a prolific short story writer, being nominated for various awards. Wallace went on to teach at Illinois State University and Pomona College. Wallace committed suicide in 2008 by hanging himself after losing a 20 year battle with depression.

It showed Segel wearing Wallace’s signature bandana, whereas Eisenberg was wearing little to no makeup. At first, David Foster Wallace fans had doubts about Segel playing this serious role and looking nothing like the American novelist. Glancing at these photos it looks like Segel is pulling it off well.
No release date has been announced yet for the anticipated film. You can see Segel on the last episodes of the CBS show, How I Met Your Mother. After filming is done, Jesse Eisenberg will move onto the Batman and Superman, where he is playing villain, Lex Luthor.
