It might still be half a year away, but San Diego Comic-Con International 2014 has announced its first wave of guests! Among them are DC Comics writer Scott Snyder, Donald Duck cartoonist Don Rosa and author of the Riftwar Saga, Raymond Feist.
The event will also be attended by artists Fiona Staples, famous for her many covers and interior artwork, as well as Amanda Conner, best known for her work on Vampirella.
But that is definitely not all! Fifteen other writers and artists have been announced as guests, so see if you recognise any of these names: cartoonist Brian Crane (Pickles), illustrator Eleanor Davis (How To Be Happy), writer/producer Jane Espenson (Buffy the Vampire Slayer), illustrator Drew Friedman (Heroes of the Comic Books), writer Michael T. Gilbert (Mr Monster), animator Willie Ito (Disney and Warner Bros), author Caitlin R. Kiernan (The Drowning Girl: A Memoir), writer Lucy Knisley (Relish), artist David Lasky (The Carter Family), artist Graham Nolan (Detective Comics), writer Jimmy Palmiotti (Painkiller Jane), illustrator Jim Rugg (Supermag), writer Gene Luen Yang (American Born Chinese) and finally writer Benoît Peeters and artist François Schuiten, both known for the series The Obscure Cities.
In short: a diverse bunch of creative minds!
San Diego Comic-Con will be held from the 24th to the 27th of July. Information on more confirmed guests will follow soon.
