An open secret for months, the wait for official confirmation is finally over. Daniel Rengering has joined the prestigious list of Survivor Castaways, vying for his chance at one-million dollars. CBS released its promo for Survivor Season 37: David Vs. Goliath just minutes ago, and Rengering was prominently featured. CBS casting agents reached out to Rengering more than 6-months ago, asking him to join the hand-picked cast. Rengering took a leave of absence from the Gainesville Police Department, where he works as a SWAT Operator, flying to Fiji, where he joined the cast and crew for a 39-day battle of wits, strength and skill.

Rengering adds Survivor to his long list of new projects, including The GRAMMYs and SAG Awards, where he will be hosting live from their respective red carpets in 2019. Rengering exploded into an international star in 2017, when a photo of he and 2 other officers doing Hurricane Irma community work went viral, racking up hundreds of thousands of shares and tens of thousands of comments from admiring ladies and gentleman. Hollywood quickly took notice of Rengering’s good looks and heart for his community, catapulting him into dozens of modelling gigs, and earning him a Model of The Year title in 2017. He has been featured on the covers of more than 75 books and magazines. Rengering will also be a special guest speaker at the 91st Annual Rudolph Valentino Memorial, sharing speaking duties with Brandee Cox, from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences, (The Oscars) and famed film historian Marc Wannamaker.

Rengering has continued to dedicate much of his time and resources to charity and community work, donating thousands of dollars to organizations like Basketball Cop Foundation, PetGotchaDay, Human Rights Campaign and more. Rengering’s giving-spirit prompted Award-Winning author, Aubree Valentine to donate 15% of her now best-selling book Hot Cop to charity. Rengering is fittingly featured on the cover of Valentine’s book, the story loosely-based on his experience with viral fame.

Survivor’s 37th Season, David Vs. Goliath will begin airing Wednesdays in September, only on CBS. You can follow Daniel Rengering on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
