DC’s upcoming ‘Wonder Woman’ solo feature is coming in 2017, so Gal Gadot unveiled the very first still and a press release announced the cast.

We’ve all known Warner Bros. has a Wonder Woman solo film in the works for 2017, starring Gal Gadot, with the character making her cinematic debut on this spring’s Batman v. Superman: Dawn Of Justice. After endless speculation, the upcoming movie now has a very first still and an official announcement regarding the cast.

Directed by Monster’s Patty Jenkins, Wonder Woman’s very first headlining film is already in progress in the UK, France and Italy. Alongside Gal Gadot, the movie stars Star Trek’s Chris Pine in the role of Captain Steve Trevor, House Of Cards’ Robin Wright, Clash Of Titans’ Danny Huston, Harry Potter’s David Thewlis, Exodus’ Ewen Bremner, American Hustle’s Saïd Taghmaoui, Elena Anaya of The Skin I Live In fame and Shaun of the Dead’s Lucy Davis. Gal Gadot took to Twitter to unveil the very first still of hers in role for the Amazon Princess’ solo debut and you can give it a look below. Superb, isn’t it?

Wonder Woman will be executive produced by Richard Suckle, Stephen Jones, Wesley Coller, Geoff Johns and Rebecca Roven, while Charles Roven, Zack Snyder and Deborah Snyder are responsible for the production. Game Of Thrones’ Matthew Jensen will handle the direction of photography, Oscar-nominated Aline Bonetto of Amélie fame will be the production designer, while Oscar-winning editor Martin Walsh (Chicago) and costume designer Lindy Hemming (The Dark Knight trilogy) are also on board.

With no official release date announced, Wonder Woman is expected to arrive in theaters sometime in 2017.
