Ryan Murphy is a genius. I mean, we already knew this; but this latest move just absolutely solidifies it.
Murphy and Fox have decided to give Gleeks the opportunity to vote on the songs they want to be featured in the milestone 100th episode in what is being called “Gleeks Choice.” It’s going to be bedlam.
Today, this new web page was launched, offering the following explanation:
Attention Gleeks!! You’ve been with us from auditions to Nationals, New Directions to Cheerios, tracksuits to slushies. Now help us celebrate GLEE’s milestone 100th episode by telling us your favorite songs performed over the past five seasons. Your top 10 songs will be remixed and performed in the 100th episode, airing March 18, 2014 8/7c on FOX.
Fans will be allotted ten votes, to be administered however they choose on a list of every single song performed in the series thus far. What an absolutely fabulous idea, and what a wonderful tribute to the fans who turned this little sleeper series into a world-wide phenomenon.
So make sure to cast your vote, Gleeks! You can vote as often as you’d like, but you only get 10 votes a pop.
