And so it begins! American Idol has been given an official premiere date for its upcoming season.
Fox’s all singing, all dancing ratings megatron will launch into its 13th season with a colossal four-hour opener spread over two nights. You might wanna keep January 15 and 16 free if you plan on tuning in from 8pm to 10pm both nights.
The judges this season will be Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban and Harry Connick Jr. Urban has already assured fans that the panel “just click” this year, and plan to “live it up.” This came off the back of Jennifer Lopez’s admission that returning to the show was a “difficult decision” for her to make.
How do you think this season will go? Harry Connick Jr was a very memorable guest judge last year so we have high hopes!
Meanwhile, it’s been announced that Glee‘s current fifth season will resume with a much anticipated second half in the spring. The Following will premiere January 20, while the Greg Kinnear drama, Rake, is all set to debut the day before, January 19.
