Fox Orders A Put Pilot For More DC Comics With ‘Lucifer’

The reign of comic book adaptations on television continues on strong as Fox orders a put pilot for the DC Comic ‘Lucifer’.

Fox is getting really involved with DC at this point, ordering a pilot for another TV adaptation of one of the comic books. This time it comes to Lucifer, the Lord of Hell from the comics of the same name. The network has actually committed to pick up the pilot after it’s filmed and move forward to a show, as the one ordered is a put pilot.

The actual story finds the Lord of Hell resigning from his position down there, feeling bored and unsatisfied. Lucifer gets to the upper world and finds interest in Los Angeles, where he becomes a piano bar owner. Definitely an interesting scenario to be brought to life on the small screen, isn’t it? The pilot will be hour-long and created by Tom Kapinos, of Californication fame. The executive producer and screenwriter will be assisted by Aggressive Mediocrity and Warner Bros. in terms of production.

Aren’t adaptations of comic books all over television these days? With Arrow still going strong, newcomers FlashGotham and Constantine are hitting the screen this season. Marvel is returning with the seconf season of Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.and its spin-off, Agent Carter, with Daredevil premiering later on. Reportedly, DC has more to give though, as Teen Titans and Supergirl are in the works, along with newly-announced Lucifer.
