Seth MacFarlane’s new comedy Dads has received a full season order from Fox. The show has only aired six episodes and has suffered from underwhelming ratings due to levels of controversy.
The comedy series has been heavily criticised for being “racially insensitive.” Star of the show Giovanni Ribisi responded to the negative reviews by telling critics to “go f**k yourself.” MacFarlane and actors from the sitcom have since refused to re-shoot scenes that have raised some eyebrows.
Despite the drama, Fox has requested nine extra episodes of the sitcom which stars Ribisi and Seth Green, who play video game designers whose fathers have come to live with them.
Dads will air on Fox Tuesdays at 8pm.
