Already established as a prolific producer who has created music under several names and monikers for almost 15 years, Fred Kyla has now shifted his focus towards creating solo material; the culmination of said focus being his debut EP ‘ONE’ which PopWrapped are delighted to premiere. The release, which officially drops on November 29^th, blends his passions for pop, electronic and hip-hop music and showcases his incredible versatility as an artist.

Asked about the collection, the journey he’s been on while making it and what it means in terms of his future releases, he shares: “My debut EP ‘ONE’ has been something that I’ve wanted to create for a really long time. I’ve spent a lot of my musical career in the past 15 or so years genre switching and following trends. It has been a fun ride but never felt like it was what I really wanted to be doing. But ‘ONE’ is something that I feel is just me making my music how I like it. It’s like making music that I would want to have on repeat. It’s music that I’m making because it feels good to me to make. I know that sounds weird, but artists have a lot of pressure on them these days to stay relevant and often that leads to stress which is the opposite to any real enjoyment in making music and enjoyment is key when making music.”

He goes on to add: “‘ONE’ and all other Fred Kyla releases in the future will always be me getting lost in the music and ending up with a track. With ‘ONE’ there was no pressure when working on it; it felt fun, honest and true to my own inspirations, which is what Fred Kyla is all about. I’m really excited about ‘ONE’ and Fred Kyla moving forward. It has been great fun so far and I’m only just getting started.”
