Veteran actress Jane Lynch has gone from being a character actress in supporting roles to being one of television’s most beloved faces. She won an Emmy in 2010 for Outstanding Supporting Actress for her now iconic role as Sue Sylvester on Glee, and has received a total of six Emmys over the last four years, with two of those nominations coming this year.
She was nominated for Outstanding Narrator for her voice-over work on Penguins: Waddle All the Way and for Outstanding Reality Host for Hollywood Game Night, and she won for the latter.
In her speech, she thanked the creator of Hollywood Game Night, Emmy winner Sean Hayes, for coming up with the idea and then paid tribute to NBC for actually taking the chance on the show. She said, “I hope we’ll do more. I’m tickled pink, actually.”
Lynch will return to Glee in 2015 for its sixth and final season, while Hollywood Game Night has also just been renewed for a third season.
