It’s been a long, eventful season for Game Of Thrones. The hit fantasy series not only pulled off new production heights (see episode 9 specifically), but the ratings saw multiple series highs. According to the showrunners David Benioff and David Weiss, the finale won’t drop the ball.
Benioff and Weiss recently spoke with Entertainment Weekly regarding the finale episode titled “The Children”.
“It’s the best finale we’ve ever done, bar none.” They went on to add, “Now we have to get back to the business of season five and figure out a way to top it.”
When the show left off last week after one of if not the most epic battle in the shows four seasons, we were still left with many characters fates undetermined. The all important finale episode airs this Sunday on HBO, but don’t fret, Game of Thrones has been confirmed for a fifth as well as a sixth season.
