We know that filming on the fourth season of HBO’s hit original series Game of Thrones got underway last month, and now we’ve got some news on some of what we can expect from it.

Kit Harington, who stars on the show as the bastard Jon Snow, has described the upcoming season as “his favorite so far.” He follows up by saying that he’s “got a lot to do this season.” so we take it we’ll be seeing plenty of his (gorgeous yet pouty) mug. And are we complaining about that? No, sir.

Harington says that his character will have a lot of action – including plenty of blood and gore – coming down the line. Fellow readers of George R.R. Martin’s A Storm of Swords, on which the third and fourth seasons of the show are based, probably know what the actor is referring to here.

Harington also says that he expects Ygritte (played by Harington’s real-life girlfriend, Rose Leslie) to want to get some bloody revenge on Jon Snow. At the end of the third season they had a bit of an, um, falling out (to put it as kindly as humanly possible) which resulted in Ygritte using Jon Snow for target practice with her bow.

We agree, Kit; somehow we don’t think this confrontation is over yet.

Stay tuned for more information as it comes regarding the upcoming fourth season of Game of Thrones!
