A video from 2014 is making it’s rounds on the internet, showing the vocal prowess of a random Call of Duty player.

Every now and then something completely random happens in the world of gaming, and if you’re really lucky it’s caught on tape. This is one of those times.

The video is more than a year old but it’s making it’s rounds on the internet once again thanks to the people on Reddit. YouTube user Sinj posted a clip of him playing Call of Duty while a fellow gamer sang him a little ditty.

Unbeknownst to the other player, his mic was still on while he sang bits and pieces of “Fix You” by Coldplay. He would hit the high parts, which thanks to the glorious voice of Chris Martin is quite difficult to do, but you can tell the player is definitely focused on the game.

So yes, there is a video of a game where you kill others for points accompanied by a song of healing. The irony is certainly not lost on me.

The best part is the ending, where the man recording the session gives the random CoD props for being a good singer.  Sometimes the best things happen when a person thinks they’re all alone. 

While some people are being rude about the man occasionally going off-key (especially in the horrendous comments section of YouTube), one has to truly appreciate the beauty of the moment:
