Some “fans” of George R.R. Martin and his Game Of Thrones novels are apparently worried about his ability to complete the beloved series.
Swiss newspaper Tages-Anzeiger brought up a question in a recent interview about those who are concerned about Martin’s health affecting his writing process, and the author had a pretty colorful answer.
“I find that question pretty offensive frankly when people start speculating about my death and my health. So f**k you to those people,” Martin declared. Yes, the literal gesture was included.
Seven books are expected (well, maybe), and Martin recently offered a teaser to the sixth, The Winds of Winter.
“The first draft was written more than a decade ago,” Martin said. “Originally, it was intended to be the opening Arya chapter after the infamous ‘five-year gap’, her first appearance in A Dance with Dragons, as initially conceived,” Martin shared, referring to the sixth installment in the series.
