In case you missed the big news, Cory and Topanga’s daughter is getting her own show! The Boy Meets World spinoff, Girl Meets World, has been picked up by Disney for a full season and is on track to begin filming this summer in Los Angeles.
The series will focus on the middle school adventures of Riley, daughter of Boy Meets World’s Cory and Topanga (Ben Savage and Danielle Fisher), with 12 year old actress Rowan Blanchard (Spy Kids) taking on the lead role.
In case you were wondering, yes; some of the original cast members are expected to make appearances on the show, although the only one confirmed is actor Williams Daniels who played Mr. Feeny on the original series.
Stay tuned for Girl Meets World to launch on Disney Channel next year.
