Fellow Glamberts get excited! Adam Lambert, American Idol runner-up and Grammy nominated artist, is being honored at the GLAAD Media Awards on May 11th.
Lambert will receive the Davidson/Valentini Award at the Hilton Square in San Francisco. The Davidson/Valentini Award is named after Craig Davidson, GLAAD’s first executive director, and his partner Michael Valentini. The award is presented to an openly LGBT media professional who has helped make a significant difference in promoting equality for the LGBT community, which we can say that Lambert has definitely done.
Lambert has also been nominated twice for his both albums by GLAAD.
“Adam Lambert’s continued success as one of the world’s best-selling pop stars shows LGBT people that they can be themselves and make it in a mainstream industry that many feel unfairly rejects them,” GLAAD’s Wilson Cruzsays in a statement. “Adam is fearless on stage and astonishes audiences in every country he performs in.”
GLAAD is a U.S. non-govermental monitoring agency which promotes the image of the LGBT community in media.
