Gorilla Flips Off Photographer At Bristol Zoo

One photographer got more than he bargained while photographing Gorillas in Bristol Zoo, as one left a cheeky surprise to be captured.

Who’s a cheeky monkey?

Or should I say Ape?

A gorilla at the Bristol Zoo decided he was going to leave a lasting impression on one photographer. The zoo visitor was innocently trying to capture a photo of the gorilla chewing a piece of grass, when he got more than he bargained for, as he noticed the gorilla’s middle finger.

How rude?!

While it seems like very good timing, the photographer did say he thought the animal seemed “a bit cheesed off”.

Bob Pritchard, the photographer in question, further noted: “When I saw the pictures, I thought ‘you little devil’”.

Pritchard notes that gorillas have excellent hearing, so it must have heard him wade through the grass and the faint clicking of the lens and decided to make his feelings known.

“I quite regularly photograph the animals at Bristol, but I’ve never seen anything like this. Gorillas are really good at expressing their feelings. I was just really lucky to capture this.”

That you were, Mr. Pritchard, that you were.

It’s not the first time this year that gorillas have shown their naughty side either, as a family learned back in April, after a gorilla launched itself at the glass enclosure. It is claimed that the gorilla took the little girl’s chest pounding as provocation and went into a fit of range.

The Gorilla flip off has since gone viral and has taken the internet by storm, and is proving just how intelligent—and frankly sassy—these mammals are.
