‘Gotham’ Releases Four-Part Documentary Prior To TV Debut

Leading up to the series premiere of ‘Gotham’ in September, Fox has released a four part behind the scenes of the much-hyped show.

The upcoming drama, Gotham, released a four-part behind-the-scenes documentary prior to its debut.

The show features your favorite villains such as Poison Ivy, Catwoman, the Riddler, and the Penguin, but in a younger state. Actor Ben McKenzie, who plays Detective James Gordon, says “You see all these legendary characters, but you’re seeing them at a point in their lives that haven’t really been explored before.”

When discussing his own character, he said,

“…James is more or less just out of the military. He hasn’t been in Gotham for a decade or more, he left when he was a kid. He’s a little bit a fish out of water, he doesn’t exactly know what’s going on in Gotham and he’s figuring it out moment to moment. He’ll make mistakes, trust the wrong people, follow his heart and at times that will lead him into dangerous situations.”

In addition, you’ll get to see Harvey Bullock make his appearance when he teams up with Gordon.

For those who don’t know who Bullock is, he’s a detective in the comics, but has never been realized in the live action until now; Donal Logue is the first person to play him. DC’s Geoff Johns says that he’s absolutely perfect for the role.

Gotham will make its Fox debut on September 22, and on Channel 5 in the UK this autumn.
