Do you want to know why I’m ecstatic? Because America Ferrera recently told In Touch that there is a distinct possibility of another installment in the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants franchise!
In case you don’t know, (which, shame on you!), The Sisterhood of the Traveling pants started as a series of YA novels, penned by Ann Brashares, about four life-long friends and their struggles and triumphs while coming into their own.
The first movie came out in 2005, and was followed up in 2008 with the sequel that combined the two final books in the trilogy. After completing that series, Brashares created a follow-up series, featuring Tibby, Bridget, Carmen and Lena as adults with careers and relationships.
Ferrera told InTouch that, “I think the four of us only ever think about how we can get back together and make people pay us to be with each other. So all four of us would be very, very open to working with each other.”
These four fabulous females could have the opportunity to portray the adult version of their characters, if this project gets off the ground. However, Brashares and Warner Bros have yet to confirm or deny the rumor.
