Ladies and gentlemen, did you love Channing Tatum’s steamy blockbuster hit, Magic Mike? Did you leave the theatre wanting a sequel to this vivacious movie? Well, all you fans out there are in luck. Not only is there going to be a sequel, but several steps have already been taken! The title has been released, a director has been named, the introductory plotline has been revealed, and a possible filming date has been announced.
It looks like Christmas has come early!
The sequel will be called Magic Mike XXL. Apparently, Channing Tatum’s character will have gained quite a lot of weight. Hopefully it’s not some dirty joke and it’s a story of how the dancer must get back on his game. A zero to hero type of storyline sounds much better and much more entertaining, doesn’t it?
Greg Jacobs will be taking on the daunting task as director–he had previously been Steven Soderbergh’s assistant director. Finally, thanks to Joe Mangianello, rumor has it is the film will be shot this fall.
