Green Day’s Jason White Was Diagnosed With Cancer

Green Day’s guitarist, Jason White, was diagnosed with tonsil cancer, but thankfully, it’s in treatable form.

Green Day has been one of the most successful rock bands of the modern era. The most recent announcement on the band’s website did not deliver the best of news though, as it was revealed that their guitaris, Jason White, was diagnosed with tonsil cancer.

Jason White went through a regular tonsillectomy when he found out about his condition. The good news is that his cancer was noticed soon enough for him to receive treatment and be cured. Green Day stated on their announcement:

“We have some news to report regarding our brother Jason White, and wanted you to hear it from us before word spread. Jason recently underwent a routine tonsillectomy, and his doctors discovered a treatable form of tonsil cancer. Thankfully they caught it early and he should make a full and speedy recovery.”

White joined Green Day more than a decade after the band was formed and could only be seen at their tours. However, he became an official member and joined the group permanently only two years ago.

Let’s hope he has a quick recovery and gets back in form soon!
