It looks like Grey’s Anatomy is the latest TV series to have been bitten by the Bubble Boy bug.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, child actor Armani Jackson has bagged the recurring role of a boy with a mysterious disease on ABC’s hospital-drama. Bailey (Chandra Wilson) and Alex (Justin Chambers) are expected to deal with this case. Rumour has it that this story will gradually develop into the miracle story of the ‘Bubble Boy’, although the channel has not confirmed the news yet.
The ‘Bubble Boy disease’, scientifically a genetic disorder called Severe Combined Immunodeficiency (SCID), has been popular with the entertainment world, with popular shows such as Seinfeld and My Name Is Earl having similar plots.
Jackson, best known for his role in Lionsgate’s Cooties, will be arriving on the show starting April 3. Grey’s Anatomy airs every Thursday at 9 p.m on ABC.
