The first time I saw Hailee Steinfeld was as Emily Junk in Pitch Perfect 2 where she sang Jessie J’s “Flashlight” beautifully.
Steinfeld was nominated for an Academy Award in 2010. She is an incredible actress.
She has since ventured into the singing world with a very successful single called “Love Myself“!
This song is fun and positive, which I love. She has a great voice, not overly showy–just raw.
The video is pretty awesome too! It’s simple, mostly compiled of shots of Hailee singing and dancing, wearing shirts that say things like “self-service.”
It’s a great play on the message the song conveys.
